My Fun2draw channel has over 1.6 million subscribers, 300 million views, and 800 art challenge, drawing tutorials, and art videos. I'm very happy my Fun2draw videos can help inform, entertain, and inspire many on a daily basis!
Many viewers have asked me why I started Fun2draw. I was self-taught when I was young. I didn't have a special art teacher or art classes - until high school and college. I know it can be frustrating to teach yourself to draw something. It can also be tough to find someone who's there to show you what you like to draw, in an easy, fun way, step by step.
Many people love to draw but they don't know how to start. Lots of people get discouraged due to lack of inspiration or support. Quite a number of parents have asked me to teach their kids private art classes. I thought instead of helping a few, I could help many worldwide. That's why I started my Fun2draw channel on YouTube, and my Fun2draw apps.
Many viewers have told me that my Fun2draw videos have encouraged them to start drawing. They have become better drawers. They draw along with my Fun2draw videos, then show their drawings to their classmates at school. They make more friends with their art. They feel more confident. Some parents and grandparents have emailed me to tell me how much their children love to draw along with my Fun2draw videos. They watch with their kids regularly. I think this is awesome! I love to see more adults encourage and support their kids with their art and creativity.
I'm super happy to know that many of my Fun2draw viewers share their Fun2draw fan art onmy Facebook page, on Instagram under the hashtags \"#Fun2draw\" and \"#MeiYuArt\", in their own YouTube fan art videos, and on other social sites. I feel very lucky to be able to inspire them like this, because they're putting what they learned from Fun2draw to good use.

Since April 2011, Mei has created a large variety of step-by-step drawing tutorials for all skill levels, as well as personal art, character mashup drawings, and art challenges. Mei has also created a number of Fun2draw mobile apps and eBooks on how to draw animals, people, food, cats, and dogs.
Mei has created and released a number of mobile apps and eBooks that feature more in-depth drawing instructions, based on her Fun2draw characters. They also feature drawings and characters exclusive to their platforms, having not appeared on YouTube before. Her apps are available for iOS and Android devices. Her eBooks are available for iOS, Kindle, and Android devices.
On November 18, 2014, Mei uploaded her first video to her second channel, MeiYuArt. This channel features miscellaneous art challenges and time lapse drawings, including her ongoing 100 Drawings Challenge: Realistic Dog Portraits series.
Mean sea level pressure (hPa, solid) and temperature (C, dashed) analyses at (a) 0000 and (b) 1200 UTC 6 Jun and (c) 0000 UTC 7 Jun 2003. Contour intervals are 1 hPa for pressure and 1C for temperature and the surface frontal position is indicated.
GOES-9 IR cloud imageries at 6-h intervals from (a) 0000 UTC 6 Jun to (f) 0600 UTC 7 Jun 2003. The shading scale (C) is indicated, and the thick dashed lines depict the position of the 850-hPa mei-yu front.
Domain for the piecewise PV inversion calculation (the outermost domain). Thick lines depict the area of interest in the present case. The small rectangular boxes (of 8 3 grid points) near 25N were used to compute averaged 850-hPa frontal ζ values, with time specified using arrows pointing at the upper-left corner of each box. Similarly, the dashed boxes (of 5 3 grid points) near 20N were used to compute averaged 850-hPa wind for the LLJ at 1800 UTC 6 Jun and 0000 UTC 7 Jun 2003, with arrows pointing at the lower-left corner of each box.
Results indicate that this mei-yu front was characterized by strong horizontal shear and moderate temperature gradient, and its development was not baroclinic in nature. The initiation of a wavelike structure along the frontal shear zone was consistent with barotropic instability. The growth of mesoscale frontal disturbances (cyclogenesis) was a result of the nonlinear mechanism similar to the conditional instability of the second kind (CISK) in which the frontal PV centers and cumulus convection reinforce each other through a positive feedback process.
As the MCSs were both intense and persistent, the latent heating was highly efficient and caused significant enhancement of the mei-yu frontal system, even at latitudes below 25N. The vorticity budget analysis indicates that the front was maintained mainly by a stretching effect, while its gradual eastward extension and slow southward migration were linked to horizontal advection and a tilting effect, respectively. Induced by the MCSs, the transverse circulation south of the front was exceptionally strong, and the LLJ developed within its lower branch of northward-directed ageostrophic flow through Coriolis torque.

During the transition period from winter to summer monsoon in East Asia, the frequent occurrence of the mei-yu front brings the rainy (mei-yu) season, which occurs from mid-May to mid-June for southern China and Taiwan (e.g., Chen 1983; Tao and Chen 1987; Ding 1992). Usually evolving in a large-scale deformation field, the mei-yu front appears on satellite images as an elongated cloud band extending from Japan to southern China (Chen 2004). The mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) embedded within the cloud band, with moisture often fed by a prefrontal low-level jet (LLJ), can bring heavy rain and flash floods to the region (e.g., Chen and Yu 1988; Lau et al. 1988; Chen 1992; Li et al. 1997).
Chen and Chang (1980) studied a mei-yu front case and found that its eastern section near Japan was close to a classical midlatitude baroclinic front with a strong thermal gradient and a westward tilt with height. Its western section over southern China, however, was shallow with a weak temperature gradient, strong horizontal wind shear, and an equivalent barotropic warm core structure. Thus, mei-yu fronts at different sections may be structurally (and dynamically) different. Chen (1993) suggested that most fronts over southern China possessed appreciable baroclinicity before the seasonal transition around mid-June (e.g., Chen et al. 1989; Trier et al. 1990), and exhibited only weak thermal gradient afterward as mei-yu started at the Yangtze River valley (Tao and Chen 1987). 59ce067264
