Shadow Paladins?

Hello,

I've been thinking about these for awhile now, and theoretically, they could make sense?

Paladins, (to put it simply) are holy warriors. Warriors that harness the power of the Light in order to aid them in battle and heal their allies. But what would stop a Paladins from say, learning the ways of the Shadows?With the Cult of Forgotten Shadows being relatively strong in the Forsaken culture, it would make sense for some Forsaken warriors who believe in the faith to take up arms as a Shadow Paladin.

Please help.
